What We Believe

Our Beliefs

For a more thorough understanding of what we believe, read the entire Baptist Faith and Message.

We Believe the Bible was written by men inspired by God, and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our lives.

We believe there is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. He exists in three persons, God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

We believe sin has separated us from God and His purpose for our lives.

We believe Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was completely human and completely divine. He is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and perfect life, died on the cross in our place and rose again to prove His victory over sin and death. Today He sits at the right hand of God where He prays for us. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to complete His mission.

We believe that in order to be reconciled to God, receive forgiveness of our sins and become new we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and submit to His will for our lives.

We believe that when we invite Jesus to be our Savior and LORD, the Holy Spirit comes into our lives bringing gifts for us to use to build the church and expand His kingdom. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we grow to become more like Christ in our thoughts, attitudes and actions.

We believe baptism by immersion is the first step of obedience in our new life in Christ.

We believe in the power and significance of the Church. It is the place where believers meet regularly to worship God, study the Bible, pray, participate in authentic relationships, and work together to share the love of God with others.

We believe that marriage is a covenant relationship between one woman and one man, designed to reflect God’s covenant love and to provide the foundation for family which is the building block of society.

We believe our eternal destination of either heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe Jesus will return in power and glory to judge the world and to complete His mission.
